About Course

The Emotions Management module is designed to help children understand, express, and manage their feelings in healthy and constructive ways. It begins with teaching kids how to identify basic emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and excitement by observing facial expressions, body language, and common situations. They will build a strong emotions vocabulary to describe their feelings more accurately, which helps in better communication. The module also explores emotional triggers, helping kids understand what causes certain feelings and how different events impact their emotional state.

Children will learn how to express their emotions safely through words instead of outbursts or withdrawal. Tools like an “emotion thermometer” will help them rate the intensity of their feelings, while simple breathing exercises and mindfulness games will teach them how to calm down when emotions run high. Storytelling and role-play activities allow them to practice expressing and handling emotions in a variety of scenarios. Journaling or drawing feelings will also be encouraged to foster self-awareness.

The module emphasizes empathy, helping children recognize and respect the emotions of others. They’ll create a “coping skills toolbox” filled with strategies like taking breaks, talking to someone, or doing something they enjoy when they’re feeling overwhelmed. Daily “feelings check-ins” will become a part of their routine, along with learning positive self-talk to build inner confidence. Finally, the module will introduce conflict resolution skills and the importance of seeking help from trusted adults when emotions feel too big to handle alone.
